I hate to tell you, but that whole "I don't want to ruin the friendship" excuse is a racket. It works so well because it seems so wise. Unfortunately, in the entire history of mankind, that excuse has never ever been used by someone who actually means it.

TRUST
Many relationships fail because of lacking trust between partners. Trust essentially springs from honesty. If you're not honest with your lover, there will never be complete trust between you two. Let's see some examples.
Chip says - Babe, I love you so much. Everything about you is divine. You're perfect and I can't live without you.
Trevor says - Sweetheart, you mean the world to me. You're beautiful, intelligent, caring, elegant, honest, modest, and just about one step from total perfection. But make no mistake, if we are ever in a situation that that requires it, I will eat you to stay alive.
Who do you believe was the most honest one? If you said Chip, you're a terrorist. Trevor was the logical choice, because he will eat you. We learned a valuable lesson in trust and honesty. If your partner will eat you, there is a solid foundation to build on. This is why you cannot trust vegetarians. |
